Terms and Conditions

AWLAD Driving School

These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving lessons and services provided by AWLAD Driving School. By booking lessons with us, you agree to the following terms.

1. Lessons & Bookings

  • Lessons can be booked by phone, email, or direct arrangement with your instructor.

  • All lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

  • A lesson is typically one or two hours unless otherwise agreed.

  • You must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence and present it when requested.

2. Payments

  • Payment must be made in advance or at the start of each lesson, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Block bookings must be paid in full before lessons commence.

  • Lesson prices are subject to change, but any prepaid lessons will be honoured at the agreed rate.

  • Refunds for unused lessons from block bookings will be issued at the standard lesson rate (not discounted rate).

3. Cancellation Policy

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full lesson rate.

  • If AWLAD Driving School needs to cancel a lesson, we will provide as much notice as possible and rearrange at no extra cost.

4. Punctuality

  • If you are late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time and the full lesson fee may apply.

  • If your instructor is late, the lesson time will be extended or adjusted accordingly.

5. Driving Tests

  • You are responsible for ensuring you meet the DVSA requirements for your practical and theory tests.

  • The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the tuition vehicle for a driving test if they believe you are not test-ready or if it is unsafe.

  • The vehicle must be booked in advance for driving tests and paid for accordingly.

6. Conduct & Safety

  • You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during lessons.

  • You must wear suitable footwear and comply with all road safety rules.

  • AWLAD Driving School reserves the right to terminate lessons if behaviour is inappropriate, abusive, or unsafe. No refund will be given in such cases.

7. Liability

  • While every effort is made to ensure safety, AWLAD Driving School cannot be held responsible for:

    • Test cancellations by the DVSA

    • Delays due to traffic, weather, or mechanical breakdown

    • Loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle

8. Gift Vouchers (If Applicable)

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within the validity period stated.

9. Data Protection

  • Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
